TESTIMONIALS 2025
30 September 2025 - "Where I Photograph British Wildlife" - Stafford Photographic Society
Unfortunately I was unable to attend your presentation last week (I was unwell) and it was only this evening that I managed to get a response from those who were lucky enough to be there. I would like to thank you for your presentation and although I was not in attendance I have received a good response from our membership. Your images were thought to be extremely good and the presentation created from your travels was the basis of your very good story.
My regards
Michael Cross

As SPS program sec I would wish to invite you to give your talk about Photographing Wildlife Abroad. Your previous UK talk for us last month was very well received.

23 September 2025 - "Where I Photograph Great Britain" - South Birmingham Photographic Society
Thank you for the excellent evening we shared with you last night on your tour of Great Britain, it was a ‘tour de force’, your processing and labelling of your images to show them at their best was an example to us all I particularly like many of your monochrome images. The commentary added to the evening, which was an evening we will remember for a long time to come. Sorry it was sparsely attended, but many were at work that evening our Secretary texted in at 7.10pm she was still at work at the Vets, when you have a number of younger members this happens, but thanks again for the evening much enjoyed.

23 September 2025 - "Where I Photograph Great Britain" - Stratford Photo Group
Thank you for an entertaining evening: a whirlwind tour of GB!
I think we all saw some sites new to each of us.
Michael Robertson-Smith - General Secretary - Stratford Photo Group

10 June 2025 - "Judging - Architecture - Projected and Prints" - Market Harborough Photographic Society
Many thanks for last night, some great critique and insight into the photography of architecture.
Apologies for the slightly disorganized evening, several committee members were away and were still sorting out the new venue.
Hopefully we can arrange a better viewing platform for the prints next time.
Just arranging a date for myself and Aileen to come over to your exhibition.
Kind regards
Rob Tyrell

21 May 2025 - "An Australasian Adventure and its Wildlife" - Tamworth Photographic Club
Many thanks for another interesting evening with stories of your travels through Australia & NZ, also, to see the images of the wildlife taken along the way. Once again, the feedback I have received from our members has been very positive.
On a personal note it was good to chat with you prior to your talk, with regards to Rutland Water, and thank you for sharing your knowledge of the area. I hope we can get you back to our club at some stage in the future, to listen to more stories of your travels & photographic journeys.
Best Regards Mike Woods CPAGB BPE1* Tamworth Photographic Club Secretary

19 May 2025 - "Where I Photograph British Wildlife" - Walthamstow and District Photographic Society
Thank you for your wonderful talk which I really enjoyed and was impressed that you got some great photos without using lens that weigh a ton.
I had forgotten just how many birds and butterflies we have in the UK.
Best wishes Naomi Furnace
7 April 2025 - "Judging - Print Battle Abington v Duston" - Abington Camera Club
Many thanks for judging our battle with Duston CC last evening. Your commentary was well received and the scoring very fair. We know that Duston is focused on print competitions so their deserved win was no surprise.
Alan Edwards - Chairman Abington CC

It was lovely to see you and Irene at Abington on Monday evening. I thought you did a great job judging the competition with a very high standard of entries. My husband Peter did the PAGB judging course the same day as you and Ken but hasn't felt confident in going out and judging. After seeing you in action on Monday, he was wondering if he could go with you to a few of the competitions you judge to get more of an idea of what is required before going out on the circuit.
Pat Irons - Programme Secretary - Duston CC

31 March 2025 - "My Lockdown Garden" - Cirencester Camera Club
Many thanks Malcolm for your excellent presentation this evening and for stepping in at such short notice. I'm not sure if you could gauge how it went down but I can assure you it was very well received. I've had quite a few members congratulate me for finding such a good talk, and I'm sure it has inspired lots of us to have another look at what we could achieve in our back gardens. The images were super and the stories and presentation style gave us time to appreciate them all the more. It was really useful having all the settings detailed so clearly too.
Dave Cahill, Programme Secretary
11 March 2025 - "Where I Photograph Great Britain" - Duston Camera Club
I hope you and Irene had a good journey home last night.
Thank you so much for a very informative and enjoyable talk last night. I have visited several of the places you mentioned last night, and found it interesting how we take differing images of the same scenes. I am sure you have inspired our members at Duston to get out and about with their cameras, as you have shown that you don't need to travel too far from home to get great landscape and wildlife photography.
I will look forward to your next talk in January.
Wishing you and Irene all the best. Pat Irons - Programme Secretary
